Two die in a single-car rollover crash

Colorado State Patrol is investigating a fatal single-car crash that happened early Saturday morning. The crash occurred on Highway 24 just east of Calhan in El Paso County.
State Patrol reported that a truck, traveling eastbound on the highway, lost control and rolled off right side of the road. The driver was ejected from the truck.
Both the driver and a front passenger died on-scene as a result of their injuries.
The names of the victims are not being released until they notify next-of-kin.
Excessive speed and driving while asleep are being investigated as contributing factors in the crash.
