Two schools were on lock down in Walsenburg this morning for about three hours after a threat was made.

School officials said the threat was made in person against students and staff, so the school went on lock down as a precaution. Both Peakview School and John Mall High School were on lock down from about 7:40 to 10:30 this morning.

The lock down was lifted after the person was taken into custody by police. We are awaiting more details from the Walsenburg Police Department.
