Two people are stranded high in the air aboard a stalled fair ride in Miami, and rescue officials are trying to get them down.
A fire department spokeswoman says a call came in at 1:54 p.m. Tuesday to report the stalled ride at the Miami-Dade County Fair. News footage showed the seemingly calm riders turned horizontally in their seats, with their feet dangling above the fairgrounds. Rescue workers were shown climbing into a cherry picker construction device and approaching the ride. Several rescue units have been dispatched.
