Two suspects arrested following violent home invasion

Police were dispatched to 2375 E. Boulder Street at around 11:00pm Sunday night following a report of a home invasion and robbery at gun point. When officers arrived and interviewed the victim, he told the officers he was in his bedroom with his girlfriend when a former co-worker barged in threatening with a handgun. The victim described being ordered out of bed at gunpoint and forced to walk through the house and into the kitchen.

During that time two other suspects ransacked the home stealing several items including computer accessories, electronic items, and a cell phone. Once the suspects had taken what they could, the also stole the victim's 1998 Volkwagon Passat.

At approximately 2:00am Monday morning officers on patrol spotted the stolen vehicle at Chelton and Bijou Streets. The officers conducted a traffic stop and found two of the described suspects from the home invasion. The suspects were later positively identified and Colorado Springs Police Department Robbery Detectives took over the case with search warrants and secured charges of Felony Aggravated Robbery and other related charges. The suspects were booked into the El Paso County Criminal Justice Center
