Our new week will begin with warm sunshine and mostly dry conditions. The best chance for rain will be in the higher elevations west of I-25, and even there the showers will be spotty at best with only a few of us getting rained on.
Temperatures will warm into the 80's around Colorado Springs with 90's along and south of the Arkansas River, though higher elevations around Trinidad and Walsenburg will only make it into the 80's. Higher elevations from Monument to Teller County will see upper 70's only in the warmest locations.
Tomorrow will be warm, but high pressure that holds a warm grip on our area will relax later this week. The weakening of the high pressure will mean slightly higher potential for afternoon showers. It also will mean the warmth will ease across the area.
