Upcoming road construction

A road construction project continues at Fillmore and El Paso. The work there won't be finished until mid summer.
Beginning Wednesday, April 7, motorists will see lane closures in both directions on Fillmore Street between 8 p.m. and midnight. The Colorado Springs Police Department will be on site to help aid in traffic flow during the lane closures.
El Paso Street north of Fillmore will be closed starting at 8 p.m. on Thursday, April 8, for water line lowering. It should reopen early Friday morning.
El Paso Street north of Fillmore Street will be closed for storm drain work beginning Friday, April 9, at 8 p.m. through Monday, April 12 at 5 a.m. A detour will be in place and accesses to all businesses will remain open.
Drivers should expect some delays to complete this work and use alternate routes when possible.
The project is jointly funded by using Federal Hazard Elimination and Safety (HES) funds and Pikes Peak Rural Transportation Authority funds.
