UPDATE: Body found in Teller Co., victim lived in Pikes Peak region

Investigators continue into investigate human remains found in Teller County Friday. The body was found off of Elk Lane, just outside of Woodland Park.

Teller County Sheriff's office is working with Colorado Bureau of Investigations as well as State Patrol. Troopers released a statement Saturday saying they're confirming deputies found evidence of human remains, but that a court order has been issued to seal additional information which could jeopardize the investigation.

Teller County Coroner Al Born tells News First 5 that the human remains are from a resident of the Pikes Peak region. It was a 25-year old white male, and Born has ruled out suicide as a cause of death. He says the remains were more than 24 hours old. The individual's identity has not been released as of Sunday afternoon, but Born says the person had been reported missing on Thursday.

Born says he knows people would like to more, but he has to go at the pace of the investigation.
