UPDATE: Death toll rises as more storm victims are found

RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) - Officials in southeastern North Carolina have confirmed three additional deaths from storms that hit the state, raising the confirmed death toll from storms there to 21.

Bladen County authorities say the dead include a 92-year-old father and his 50-year-old son. They were killed when they were thrown from their adjacent mobile homes in the town of Ammon. County Medical Examiner Kenneth Clark says that a 52-year-old woman also died in Ammon and that a 50-year-old man died in Bladenboro - both also thrown from their homes.

Bladen County emergency management chief Bradley Kinlaw says 82 homes were damaged and 25 destroyed in Saturday's storms.

The latest deaths reported pushed the toll for the three days of tornadoes from Oklahoma to Virginia to at least 45.
