News 5 is learning new information into Wednesday's deadly double stabbing at the Remington Ranch Equestrian Stables located at 9550 E. Woodman Road.
The suspect, Ethan Courrau, 22, is accused of stabbing Scarlett Gallagher, 1, and Ryan Willhite, 3.
Shortly after 11 p.m. Wednesday, sheriff's deputies received a 9-1-1 call from the children's grandmother.
On the night of the stabbings, the mother, Katie Kane, and grandmother, Candi left the two children with Courrau while they went to run a quick errand.
Courrau was Katie's current boyfriend, but is not the father of either children.
A motive has not yet been released. The El Paso County Sheriff's Office is not releasing any further details as the investigation is ongoing.
A friend of Candi's tells News 5 the family is not ready to speak with the media and would like their privacy.
Thursday, friends and family came to the Remington Ranch to drop off flowers and teddy bears to remember the two innocent lives lost.
A memorial fund has been set up with ENT Federal Credit Union to help the family cover funeral expenses.
