UPDATE: Man arrested near 'Sin City' shooting scene, connection - if any - not clear

A man's been arrested near the Sin City Deciples clubhouse during an investigation into an early morning shooting nearby. Police have not said that there's a connection between the man in custody and the shooting. They're still investigating.
A man was found with at lease one, possibly life-threatening, gunshot would around 3:30 Sunday morning on W. Vermijo St. - at the Sin City Deciples clubhouse. No word yet on the man's condition.
27-year-old Cory Olin Speer was arrested shortly after the shooting victim was found. Police say they saw a car parked in the 500 block of W. Cucharras St. while they were investigating the shooting. Speer was inside the car with a handgun and stolen property from a vehicle theft the night before, according to a police report. Police say Speer is a convicted felon.
Speer was arrested and taken to the Criminal Justice Center. Police have not claimed any sort of connection between Speer and the shooting.
