At around 4:10 Sunday morning Colorado Springs Police responded to the address of 2510 Weston Road near Hancock Expressway and Delta Drive on the report of a shooting. When officers arrive they learned that two unidentified individuals were taken to a local hospital with gun shot wounds. Police immediately secured and cleared the scene to preserve any evidence. It was later learned that a Dark Blue Ford Expedition may have been involved in the shooting and used to take one of the victims to the hospital.
The vehicle was later found in the 2600 block of Villa Loma Dr. Officers responding found apparent bullet holes and signs of blood in the vehicle. The vehicle has been taken into impound as evidence by Police.
While the vehicle was being located officers at the initial crime scene called for a response by Colorado Springs Fire Department Hazmat crews due to a suspicious green liquid flowing heavily into a storm drain. It is unknown if the fluid leak is in anyway related to the shooting at this time.
