The Pueblo Memorial Airport is shut down after a plane slide off the runway. Around 7:15 p.m. the Lear Jet was trying to take off according to the airport's director of aviation Mark Lovin. "Aircraft suffered some sort of problem, we don't what that is yet. The aircraft ended up aborting the takeoff and leaving the runway," said Lovin.
Ten people were onboard, including 8 passengers and 2 crew members. Lovin says no one was hurt.
The plane suffered some damage. Lovin says the airport will remain closed until they can remove the plane from the runway. He said the airport will likely be closed for the rest of the evening.
It's not clear if the incident was weather-related. The Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transportation Safety Board are both assisting with the investigation.
"We don't know whether they were in the air or on the ground at the time that the incident happened," said Lovin.
