Canada may not have reached its "own the podium" aspirations, but it's certainly collected
it's share of gold medals at the Vancouver Games.
Heading into the final two events of this Winter Olympics, Canada has won 13 golds, ranking first at these games. It's biggest haul of gold ever by a host nation.
But whether that's enough to satisfy Canadians may largely be determined by whether they can add one more: the men's hockey gold.
Meanwhile, the U.S. leads in the medal count. American athletes have amassed 36, with one more guaranteed in today's hockey final. That makes Vancouver the country's best Winter Olympics performance ever.
