US, UK and France tell Iran to open nuke site

The leaders of the U.S., Britain and France are demanding that Iran fully disclose its nuclear ambitions "or be held accountable" to the world community.

Amid the disclosure of a secret Iranian nuclear facility today, President Barack Obama declared that Tehran is "breaking rules that all nations must follow" aimed at stopping the spread of nuclear weapons.

Obama made the statement at the opening of the G-20 economic summit in Pittsburgh today, flanked by French President Nicolas Sarkozy and British Prime Minister Gordon Brown.

Brown accused Iran of "serial deception" that will "shock and anger the whole international community," adding it's time "to draw a line in the sand."

Sarkozy said Iran has until December to comply with demands to open its facilities to international inspectors or face new sanctions.

The White House says the plant is about the right size to enrich enough uranium to produce one or two bombs a year, but inspectors must get inside to know what is actually going on.
