USA Soccer falls to Belgium in World Cup

Belgium ended the USA's hopes of winning their first World Cup, Tuesday afternoon in Salvador. Brazil, 2-1.

Romelu Lukaku scored the second goal of extra time in 105th minute. Kevin De Bruyne broke the scoreless tie in the 93rd minute. Julian Green gave USA hope with a goal in the 107th minute, to trail 2-1.

USA soccer was trying to reach the furthest stage in a World Cup tournament with a win over Belgium.

USA's Chris Wondolowski nearly won the game in 89th minute but his chip shot went over the net.

USA's defense was in trouble all game as goalie Tim Howard was called upon time and time again to save the day. Belgium dominated ball possession for nearly the entire game.

USA survived the "Group of Death" with a win over Ghana and a tie vs. Portugal and a loss to Germany.
