Van wanted in Black Forest murder investigation found

The van wanted in association with the Black Forest murder investigations has been impounded by the El Paso County Sheriff's Office.

The Sheriff's Office believes the 2002 Honda Odyssey bearing Colorado license plate 048-GJB was stolen by murder suspect Kenneth Lankford.

Lankford is being held without bond in the El Paso County jail facing two counts of 1st Degree Murder a Class 1 Felony, one count of Attempted Murder a Class 2 Felony, and one count of 1st Degree Assault a Class 3 Felony.

Lankford is accused of shooting and killing his wife, Terry Lankford as well as Carol Fowler and shooting and injuring her husband Thomas Fowler.

Lankford made his first court appearance Wednesday.
