Canadian authorities say they've recovered the body of a Longmont man who crashed in the Northwest Territories on his way back to Colorado.
Authorities say a Canadian Coast Guard helicopter spotted the crash site Thursday about 80 miles southeast of Norman Wells, Canada, and Terry Johnson,75, was confirmed dead at the scene. The crash is under investigation.
Johnson last had contact with air traffic personnel Saturday morning. He was returning by himself from a family canoeing and fishing trip. Johnson founded the data-storage MiniScribe company in 1980 from his Longmont home.
