Victim accused of helping alleged Colo bank robber

LONGMONT, Colo. (AP) - A Longmont bank employee who told police he was held at knifepoint and bound with duct tape during a robbery has been arrested on charges of conspiring with the alleged holdup man.

The Longmont Times-Call reports that the bank employee, Lizardo "Alan" Monje, was arrested early Saturday. Also arrested was a man suspected of being the robber, Frank David Gutierrez. Both are 22 and live in Greeley.

Longmont Police Cmdr. Jeff Satur says investigators found the stolen money and other evidence when they obtained a warrant and searched Monje's home.

Both suspects are being held on suspicion of aggravated robbery and conspiracy to commit theft.

Police say Monje reported he was confronted by a robber when he was opening an Academy Bank branch inside a Walmart on Friday.
