Victim remembered by fraternity brother

Binu George is remembered as a man who was taken from this world far too soon. The Pueblo West resident and his wife were killed early Saturday morning after a suspected drunk driver hit their car head on while going the wrong way on I-25.

George was a beloved member of the CSU Pueblo family. The former grad was an active advisor and mentor for the Kappa Sigma fraternity. "To have him around and to have him as a mentor is something that is completely irreplaceable." explains Chapter President Adam Herrera, "He was the epitome of a gentleman, and he was the one man that we all looked up to."

George is remembered as a loving husband and friend. Always putting others before himself. "Everything he did had a purpose, and it was always with your best interests in mind." says Herrera, "He was there for you no matter what."

Now that he's gone, his friends only hope they can live up to his legacy as one who served others. "He's somebody that I think every single brother and every single man should strive to be more like him." says Herrera, "I know that I wish I could be more like him."

The Kappa Sigma Fraternity is planning a memorial in Binu George's honor. They are also founding a scholarship in his name. To donate or for more information please call Adam Herrera at (719) 557-0088 or email at aj.herrera@colostate-pueblo.edu
