ASPEN, Colo. (AP) - A video that allegedly shows a snowboarder slamming into a child on a Snowmass slope is in dispute for a trial that begins Friday.

Authorities have charged 22-year-old Travis Luffman, of Pfafftown, N.C., with reckless endangerment and third-degree assault, both misdemeanors. Authorities say Luffman was at fault after he collided with a 7-year-old child from Brazil last spring.

According to the Aspen Daily News one of the child's relatives was videotaping him skiing at the time of the accident.

Luffman's lawyer says in a motion that he will object to using the video as evidence unless the video can be verified.
