Vonn continues to get better

WHISTLER, British Columbia (AP) - Lindsey Vonn's husband says she has gone through a complete slalom training session on her own, the toughest test yet for her bruised right shin.

Thomas Vonn says in a telephone interview with The Associated Press on Sunday that the two-time overall World Cup champion's "focus has definitely changed" from whether she would be able to compete at the Vancouver Olympics to getting rid of rust.

Lindsey Vonn had not done full-fledged training on a hill since hurting herself Feb. 2 during pre-Olympic practice in Austria. She stayed off skis for more than a week, then has waited while wet and warm weather canceled official training sessions at Whistler.

Sunday's downhill practice was called off because of too much rain overnight.
