"Wagon Man" found not guilty on jaywalking charges

You've probably seen him pulling a wagon around the streets of Manitou Springs in his colorful
clothing and sign of positivity hanging around his neck. However, this has gotten Phillip Cargile, also known as "Wagon Man" in trouble recently, as he's received numerous tickets from police who say he's jaywalking.

On Tuesday afternoon, a judge found Phillip Cargile not guilty on all counts. However, he says Cargile is creating a "hazard" by walking in the street when he could be walking on the sidewalk.

After the verdict, Cargile told News 5 that he doesn't feel welcomed in Manitou anymore.

"I was hoping that they would never have brought this about," says Cargile. "I was walking 120 miles a week in Panama and I come here and I'm barely getting 20 a week."

Manitou Springs Police tell us they genuinely feared for Cargile's safety, and that is why they kept issuing him tickets.

Cargile says he wants to continue his journey of positivity elsewhere.
