Hundreds of people laced up their shoes this morning for a good cause. The 75th Annual March for Babies was held across the country, including at the Pueblo riverwalk.
The Southern Colorado March of Dimes raised money to promote healthy pregnancies and newborns. The group says in Pueblo about one in nine babies is born premature. "And one thing people don't realize is that prematurity is the leading cause of death for newborns in our country, and we actually rank amongst third world nations when it comes to rates of premature birth."
The fundraiser walk also included music, giveaways and activities for kids.
