A man angry with Walmart shut down the retailer's Woodland Park store by calling in a bomb threat twice on Friday morning, one of the busiest shopping days of the year.

Incident commander Sgt. James Halloran of the Woodland Park Police Department says the calls were received about 5 minutes apart just after 8:30 a.m. He says the specific nature of the threat gave store managers concern.

"The second call is really what made us think it was more believable than just one call," Halloran said.

The store was evacuated for about 4 hours as bomb sniffing dogs from the Colorado Springs Police Department were brought in to search for threats.

Allie Krouse works at the hair salon inside the store. She had just arrived for the day when she heard the evacuation announcement.

"I've worked here since May now and they've done plenty of stuff where the power goes out constantly and everybody goes out front but this time everybody was up on the grass and I was like whoa, this is much different," Krouse said.

The store reopened just before noon. Halloran says the department is searching for the caller. If they are caught, they could face charges of false reporting.
