Temperatures start to climb again for Friday and Saturday where many locations will be in the 70s. However, by Saturday, the clouds start to increase and so does the wind.
A storm will come out of the Pacific overnight. This will move our way in the next few days. But it doesn't arrive here until Sunday. We'll start to see some effects from this storm starting Saturday where the clouds will increase and the wind starts to pick up. Higher elevations may even see some showers through the day Saturday - but most areas east of The Divide will stay dry.
Sunday is when you'll really notice the difference. Temperatures will drop off by about 15 degrees, and some showers will be possible for everyone. The winds will also plague us with increasing winds throughout the afternoon. Each day that I look at the models, they increase the winds for Sunday and keep them high through midweek. So this storm looks like it's going to be a big wind maker - prepare your patio furniture!
Sunday's weather will stick around through midweek as the storm itself stalls out over much of the U.S.. This will keep us cool and windy with highs staying in the 40s and 50s through Wednesday.
The weekend is almos here ... Meteorologist Valerie Abati
