TODAY: The last day of summer will feel like it. High temps will be at least 7 degrees warmer than average...80 in the Springs and 87 in Pueblo. Skies today will be sunny all day and winds will be light.
TONIGHT: Mostly clear and chilly. Low temps in the middle to upper 40's for most of us. Temps in Teller County will be in the upper 30's to close to 40.
SATURDAY: We'll welcome in the new fall season on a bit of a cooler note. Thanks to some slightly milder air around tomorrow and some south/southeast upslope winds, we'll be about 6-8 degrees cooler than today. Temps will top-out at 73 in Colorado Springs and 80 in Pueblo.Winds tomorrow will increase as the day progresses to about 10-15 mph.
SUNDAY: After the brief cool-down Saturday temps will warm right back up. 80 again the in the Springs and 86 in Pueblo. During the day you might notice some increasing clouds over the mountains and Front Range. If you have plans to enjoy the changing colors you might see a stray storm or two. Chances are about 10-20% for the higher elevations close to home.
MONDAY: Monday sounds just like Sunday expect that the chances for showers over the mountains will go up to about 20-30% by late afternoon. As a cool front and more moisture arrive we'll even see a chance for some showers or a storm or two by evening at the lower elevations. Chances for places like the Springs, Briargate, Pueblo, Canon City, La Junta and Trinidad will be about 20%.
TUESDAY-WEDNESDAY: Turning much cooler behind that front with more showers possible at the higher and lower elevations. Mountain
