After a crummy start to the work week for some, improvements come for the rest of the week.
Overnight the showers will come to an end. The clouds will also break up a bit more in the northern part of the viewing area - where it was much cloudier Monday afternoon. Temperatures will start Tuesday at or below freezing... but the it starts to warm. And it stays mild through the work week!!!
Highs on Tuesday will climb into the 60s, even a few low 70s. With the warmer temperatures comes a lot more sunshine too. Then the best day of the week arrives on Wednesday. Temperatures will be well into the 60s and 70s. Pueblo may even hit it's first 80 degree day this year on Wednesday!
With a weak front moving through Wednesday Night, temperatures will dip slightly for Thursday, but still stay mild. Then it's right back to near Wednesday highs for Friday.
Looking ahead at the weekend, there is a big change expected... when that will arrive is still a little sketchy. Right now I have the change coming for Saturday Night/Sunday, when another front comes through Colorado. This front is much stronger and will bring a big drop in temperatures. Behind this storm, not only will we see some showers, but temperatures dropping into the 40s and 50s.
Hope you're looking forward to some warmer weather for a while... Meteorologist Valerie Abati
