High pressure will build over Southern Colorado today, but a weak disturbance combined with an upslope breeze will bring about the development of some mountain showers and thunderstorms this afternoon that could move out to around I-25 late this afternoon and early this evening. Most areas will stay dry today, and temperatures will be warmer than yesterday. Highs will be in the middle and upper 80's on the Palmer Divide around Colorado Springs with 90's for the Arkansas River Valley and the Plains and 70's for the higher elevations of Teller County.
A Flash Flood Watch has been issued from noon to midnight Saturday. Heavy rain could mean flash flooding, especially if it falls on the burn scars.
