Warmth returns Friday

The weekend will start on the warm side with above average highs in the 80s/90s for the Front Range and Southeastern Plains Friday. Mostly sunny and dry conditions will accompany Friday's heat.

Temperatures will gradually cool as the weekend progresses as a system moves through the region. Sunday will be the coolest day of the weekend with highs more seasonal for this time of year in the 60s/70s after highs in the 70s/80s Saturday. There's a slight chance for showers and storms as well throughout the weekend with partly sunny skies.

A few more showers and storms are possible next week Monday. The middle of next week looks dry and comfortable with highs in the 70s/80s.
