Wasson basketball player is Athlete of the Week

D.J. Hanes of Wasson High School boys basketball is this week's Loaf 'N Jug Aquafina Athlete of the Week.
The 6'1" guard scored 27 points in Wasson's quarterfinal win over Thomas Jefferson on Saturday. The Thunderbirds play Lewis-Palmer in Friday's 4A Final Four in Boulder. Hanes and the T-Birds are now just two wins away from a state championship in Wasson High School's final season of existence.
Hanes has been a huge part of Wasson's 25-1 record. He averages 23.5 points, six rebounds, and almost four steals a game.
He will play football next season at the University of Northern Colorado.
