If you don't like hot temperatures and enjoyed today, you can thank the clouds for building in. The clouds have kept temperatures mainly in the 70°s and 80°s this afternoon.
Forecast models continue to advertise mostly sunny skies for the next several days. Also, hotter air will begin to move in from the west. High temperatures will be 5°-8° warmer tomorrow as compared to today. Temperatures will reach the mid-90°s to lower 100°s for much of southern Colorado by Tuesday. Some computer models even suggest highs close to 110° across extreme eastern Colorado.
There doesn't appear to be any great chances for rain through the next six days. Data suggests there could be a few scattered showers and thunderstorms by Saturday, but even that doesn't look overly impressive. - Meteorologist John Dissauer
