Water coming back on, road still closed

Colorado Springs Utilities says water has been restored to about 95% of customers impacted by the Uintah Street emergency water main replacement project.
According to their post on Facebook, the remaining five percent should have service restored within the next hour.
The old pipe removed from the system was stamped "1940." The affected portion of Uintah Street will reopen to traffic by 6 or 7 a.m. tomorrow.
