After a very active first half of the week, things calmed down on Thursday. A few spotty showers were seen, but not many. And definitely not of the quality of the past few days. Temperatures also stayed on the cool side with highs in the 70s and 60s.
Friday is when the big changes start to come to the region. By Friday afternoon, many areas are back in the 80s and 90s. Plus, we'll see more and more sunshine. Friday is just the start of the hot conditions we'll see through the weekend and into next week. From Saturday through the middle of next week, temperatures will stay very warm - highs near 90 for Springs, and near 100 for Pueblo. We'll also be staying sunny and dry. So a lot of the moisture that is still at the surface will evaporate or dry within a few days.
Get ready for a nice weekend... Meteorologist Valerie Abati
