Weather Service to offer storm spotter classes

If you are a weather enthusiast or just want to learn more about the weather, the National Weather Service in Pueblo has scheduled multiple storm spotter classes across Southern Colorado to help give you that opportunity.

The classes are free and open to the public. All you need is a willingness to learn.

The schedule is as follows:

  • Monday April 1 at 6:30 PM at the Baca County EOC in Springfield
  • Tuesday April 2 at 6:30 PM at the Lamar High School Auditorium in Lamar
  • Monday April 8 at 6:30 PM at Centennial Hall in downtown Colorado Springs
  • Tuesday April 9 at 3:00 PM at the Las Animas/Bent County Fire Dept in Las Animas
  • Tuesday April 9 at 6:30 PM at the Courtroom in La Junta
  • Thursday April 11 at 6:30 PM at the Gold Hill Police Station (on Moreno Ave.) in southwest Colorado Springs
  • Monday April 15 at 6:30 PM at the Pueblo EOC in Pueblo
  • Thursday April 25 at 6:30 PM at Grace Community Church in Falcon (Note the change in date)
  • Tuesday April 23 at 6:30 PM at the Pueblo EOC in Pueblo
