Wednesday morning was cold! Temperatures dropped into the teens in Colorado Springs and Pueblo for the first time since April 24. We are on the back side of a huge dome of cold air over the Great Plains, and it is headed east. That means, while today will be chilly, warmer days are in the forecast for Thursday and Friday.
The teens and 20's will warm to near 40 by 10:00 AM, then into the upper 40's and lower 50's by noon. High temperatures will be in the low-to-mid 50's around Colorado Springs with mid-to-upper 40's around Monument and mid-to-upper 50's for areas along and south of the Arkansas River. Tonight, quick cooling will mean 40's by 6:00, 30's by 8:00, and 20's overnight.
