Wednesday Weather: Elevated Fire Risk Returns

Warm sunshine will bring temperatures into the 70's for highs today. Areas along the Arkansas River will be able to warm into the lower 80's. The warmth will come with lower humidity and a gusty wind this afternoon, all of which will combine to elevate the risk that fires can start and spread easily. Red Flag Warnings are in effect from noon until 8 PM for the I-25 Corridor, including El Paso, Pueblo, Fremont, eastern Huerfano, and central Las Animas counties.

Tomorrow, expect some slight cooling with a few more clouds. A stray shower is also possible tomorrow afternoon around Colorado Springs and in Teller County.
