Wednesday Weather: Fire Danger Increasing

A Red Flag Warning is in effect for all areas along and east of the Interstate 25 corridor beginning at 12 noon today. A cold front sweeping across Colorado from the northwest will increase the wind from the southwest today. That wind from the southwest is a dry downslope wind that will blow 20-30 mph with gusts to over 50 mph. Clouds will spill over the mountains, so expect a partly sunny sky. The high temperatures will be in the 60's and 70's along I-25 with 80's in the Plains.

The cold front will pass by 9 PM tonight. After that time the wind will relax and temperatures will chill into the 30's overnight with 20's in the higher elevations. Expect a mostly sunny Thursday with highs in the 60's & 70's. Wind and rain will return this weekend.
