West Fork Fire update: still no structures lost

Fire bosses just updated the status of the West Fork Fire burning in Southwestern Colorado. The fire remains at 0% containment, but the perimeter did not grow significantly today. There have also been no confirmed reports of any damage to structures.

Fire Incident Commander Pete Blume says people may have noticed heavy smoke from the fire today, but says it was due to interior burning, not fire advancement. He also says fire crews are working in the town of South Fork to put control lines in place to keep the fire from burning any closer to town.
