Westbound Highway 24 closes after vehicle fire

Update: The highway has been completely reopened at 4:30 p.m.

Update: One lane has reopened around 4:00 p.m.

MANITOU SPRINGS - Those looking to head west through Ute Pass will have to be very patient after a vehicle fire closed all westbound lanes of Highway 24.  The vehicle burned 3 miles west of Manitou Springs, at mile marker 294.  The Colorado State Patrol says that they have no estimated time that the highway will reopen.

No word on any injuries.
