Widefield High teacher on administrative leave, after sex assault charges

EL PASO COUNTY, CO- We're learning more about a local teacher, arrested and accused of sexually assaulting multiple students.

The sheriff's office says 29-year-old Lee Edward Riddle had inappropriate contact with several students. He was arrested Wednesday on felony charges of Sexual Assault on a Child by one in a Position of Trust.

Riddle was a German teacher for Widefield High School for five years and was the boys club volleyball coach.

"There are multiple victims in this particular case that have already been identified," said Lt. Jeff Kramer. "We recognize that there could be additional victims, above and beyond what we already know, simply because there's hundreds of students in the school district, like many districts."

Riddle has now been placed on administrative leave by the district. He's currently behind bars, on $25,000 bond.
