MIAMI (AP) - The widow of a Florida tabloid photo editor who died in the 2001 anthrax mailings is casting fresh doubt on the FBI's conclusion that a lone federal scientist staged the attacks.

Attorneys for Maureen Stevens have filed new sworn statements from two of Bruce Ivins' superiors saying they don't believe he committed the crimes. The statements were filed as part of Stevens' lawsuit against the government over the death of her husband, Robert Stevens. He was one of five people who died in the attacks.

The Justice Department formally closed the case last year after the FBI concluded Ivins was the sole perpetrator. Ivins committed suicide in 2008.

Ivins' former bosses raised numerous questions about his guilt in their depositions taken earlier this year.
