Snow will come to an end by late tonight. Accumulating snow should remain west of I-25 from El Paso County to Las Animas County.
Winds will also diminish after midnight. Before then, winds could gust 45-50 mph at times.
Skies should clear out Wednesday and temperatures should be a little warmer as compared to Tuesday afternoon. Highs will top out in the 50°s most areas, with the exception being along the U.S. 50 corridor from Pueblo east. Temperatures there could struggle to get out of the 40°s. (Colorado Springs: 52° | Pueblo: 48°)
LOOKING TOWARDS THE WEEKEND
Medium-range computer models have made a slight shift in conditions Saturday. There are some hints of light precipitation Saturday in El Paso and Teller counties. Right now I am only calling for a 15% of precipitation, but it is something to keep an eye on.
Sunday appears to be the pick-day of the weekend. Sunny skies and temperatures in the 50°s and 60°s. Perhaps the only downside will be the wind. It looks like it could be windy throughout the day. - Meteorologist John Dissauer
