The air has been getting warmer and drier in the News 5 viewing area, and the trend will continue tonight, with fair skies and lows in the 40s for lower elevations and 30s in the high country.
Thursday will be breezy and warmer, with lows of highs in the 70s/80s and a few thunderstorms later, especially over and near the mountains. With the wind blowing from the southwest, any storms that form will move northeastward.
Thursday night: Clouds and wind will increase, with showers and storms becoming more likely. Lows 40s/50s.
Friday: Windy and cooler (highs 50s/60s) with showers and thunderstorms.
Saturday: The coldest day of the weekend. Rain, high country snow, breezy winds and highs in the 40s/50s.
Sunday: Still stormy. Highs mostly in the 50s.
Monday: Chance of PM storms, but warmer. Highs 50s/60s.
Tuesday/Wednesday: Warmer, with a chance for PM storms each day. Lows 40s. Highs 60s/70s.
