Temperature wise, we had a really nice St. Patrick's Day. Many of us saw temperatures in the mid 60s to low 70s. But with the warm up also came the wind. And the winds aren't done yet. Through tonight winds will stay 20-30mph with gust up to 40 and 50 mph. So it could be a loud night if you're trying to sleep. These winds won't die down until closer to lunchtime on Tuesday.
With low humidity and windy conditions, we are looking at a Red Flag Warning for the area until 8 PM. This means the risk for fire is high, and any sparks that develop could easily create out of control fires. So please, don't be outside burning today.
For Tuesday, temperatures will drop - significantly. We'll see highs 20-30 degrees colder tomorrow as we get behind a storm. But the cool down won't last forever. Temperatures will climb once again as we head into the first day of Spring - which arrives on Thursday! Expect highs then back into the 60s, possibly 70s.
Enjoy the rest of your St. Patrick's Day... Meteorologist Valerie Abati
