Winter weather hits Southern Colorado

Starting today, you will likely experience a messy commute in Southern Colorado. This is the first snow in a series of storms. We are already seeing several ice covered roads across the area.

El Paso, State Patrol and Teller Counties are on Accident Alert Status. If you get into a crash and there are no injures and no alcohol or drugs are suspected, exchange your information and file a report within 72 hours.

Air travel could also be an issue today. So far, we are not seeing any issues at the Colorado Springs Airport.

At Denver International Airport, only a few delays and cancellations are being reported. You should check your flight status before leaving home.
