***BLIZZARD WATCH IN EFFECT FROM LATE MONDAY NIGHT THROUGH TUESDAY AFTERNOON***
FOR NORTHERN EL PASO COUNTY including I-25 over MONUMENT HILL, PALMER LAKE, MONUMENT, BLACK FOREST, PEYTON, CALHAN, RAMAH, and the AIR FORCE ACADEMY.
You can expect 3-6" with drifts up to several feet. North winds will consistently blow at 20 to 40 mph with gusts to 65 mph. These conditions are expected to cause extensive blowing and drifting snow and visibilities near zero at times. If your Tuesday morning commute takes you over the Monument Ridge into northern Colorado Springs on I-25, there very well could be white out conditions.
WINTER STORM WATCH IS IN EFFECT FROM LATE MONDAY NIGHT THROUGH TUESDAY AFTERNOON FOR THE SANGRE DE CRISTO AND WET MOUNTAIN RANGES ALONG WITH TELLER COUNTY AND PIKES PEAK.
You can expect 8-14"+ of snow and northwest winds at 15 to 25 mph with gusts to 50 mph.
