Woman identified in Manitou Springs homicide

On Friday, the El Paso County Sheriff's office released the name of a woman found dead inside her Manitou Springs home Tuesday afternoon.

Jacqueline Knudson, 56, died as a result of blunt force trauma. Manitou Springs police discovered the woman after Christopher Miller, 29, called them to report her death.

Miller is now the prime suspect in the homicide investigation and was charged Wednesday with first degree murder. He waived his right to a video advisement hearing Friday afternoon.

The El Paso County Sheriff's Office confirms Miller rented a room at Knudson's home. Neighbors tell News 5 they had seen Miller come and go from the house over the past few months but did not have any interaction with him.

The extent of their relationship nor a motive has been released to the media.

Miller remains behind bars without bond. His next court appearance is scheduled for July 11.
