A woman who was either suffering a mental health episode or was high on drugs entered a stranger's home Monday afternoon, sat down, and drank a glass of iced tea, according to Colorado Springs police. The woman entered the home on the 2800 block of Wood Avenue, near Fillmore and Nevada, while the occupants were relaxing on the back patio, according to CSPD Sergeant Darrin Abbink. The occupants heard a commotion inside and found the dazed woman helping herself to a glass of iced tea. They called police, who arrived to find the woman 'out of her mind' and arrested her for burglary. Police were working to determine if a wallet had been stolen from the home, which would elevate the charges. The woman was taken for a health evaluation before being booked in jail. Abbink said the woman's behavior was consistent with someone either suffering a severe mental health episode or extremely high on meth or synthetic marijuana. The suspect's name was not immediately released.
