Woman removed during reading of Constitution

WASHINGTON (AP) - Today's reading of Constitution on the floor of the House of Representatives has been something of a civics lesson -- but for one visitor in the gallery, it was an opportunity to question President Barack Obama's credentials.

As the document's words stating that only a natural-born U.S. citizen can be president were read, the woman shouted "except Obama, except Obama."
The outburst prompted Rep. Mike Simpson to halt proceeding with a bang of the gavel. As the Idaho Republican issued a warning to other members of the public, Capitol police quickly removed the woman.

So-called "birthers" claim Obama is ineligible to be president because they say there's no proof he was born in the United States. That's despite the Obama campaign issuing a certificate of live birth in 2008 and Hawaii's health director saying she's verified Obama's original and more detailed vital records.
