FORT COLLINS, Colo. (AP) - A woman who has a child with a man charged with killing a Fort Collins teen in 1982 is seeking spousal privilege to avoid testifying at his trial.
David Hehn has pleaded not guilty to murder and second-degree kidnapping in the death of Gay Lynn Dixon, who was at the same party as Hehn the night she died. Hehn was 18 at the time.
The Coloradoan reports that according to court documents,44-year-old Victoria North told Larimer County sheriff's investigators in 2004 that Hehn alluded to killing someone. North and Hehn have a child together but didn't marry.
The Coloradoan reports a judge could rule at a hearing Thursday on North's request to suppress her testimony.
Hehn has said his brother, who is deceased, admitted killing Dixon.
